Wise e-FIRC or NOC? Identify the evidence for your payment route
Check the Wise transfer type and preserve the right remittance document before preparing your bank enquiry.
Two payments that use the same provider name may follow different routes. Wise’s help distinguishes evidence for business account receipts from NOC-supported routes for certain INR transfers. Start by identifying your actual product and transfer rather than assuming every transaction produces the same document.
Read the help against your transfer type
Open the official Wise help page and your transfer details. Check whether you are using business account details or another INR transfer route. The available evidence depends on that distinction. If the help does not match your screen, ask official support to identify the product and document available. Preserve the original transfer reference and any document issued for it.
Explain partner-bank and beneficiary-bank roles
A provider’s processing bank and the bank where your final credit appears may be different. Keep both roles visible in your enquiry. Link the invoice, provider reference and final credit, then ask which desk handles your export reporting or receipt matching. Do not substitute the processing bank’s name for the customer’s name or assume it becomes the exporter’s filing authority automatically.
Start with the account product and transfer details
Wise’s help distinguishes document availability by transfer route. Identify whether your receipt uses business account details or another INR-transfer arrangement before following instructions. Keep the product name, transfer reference and party roles in your evidence index. Similar branding on two screens does not mean the same document is issued for both transactions.
Where the official instructions refer to a sender action, coordinate with the actual sender through your normal relationship. Do not request their login credentials or access their account yourself. Ask them to provide the issued document or reference. If the route does not match the help page, contact Wise support and describe the product and transfer rather than requesting a certificate by an assumed name.
Map the partner bank’s role without losing the buyer
A processing or partner bank may appear on the remittance evidence, while the final account is held at another institution. The buyer remains the party identified by the commercial documents unless your contract establishes something different. Keep separate fields for customer, actual remitter, provider, processing bank and beneficiary bank when those roles are relevant to explaining the route.
Connect the roles with references from the transfer documents. Avoid creating several receipt events simply because two banks appear. If the final credit narration is sparse, use the provider evidence to support the link and ask which institution can clarify any missing reference. This party map can make a bank enquiry much easier to understand than a screenshot containing a single unfamiliar bank name.
Handle evidence gaps as a support task
List exactly what you have: invoice, transfer confirmation, issued advice or certificate, and final bank credit. Then list the missing connection or field. Ask the responsible provider or bank for that specific information. A support request about an absent document is different from a request for a declaration acknowledgement; send each to the institution that can actually answer it.
Preserve the response and document version. If a later transfer uses another product or route, check the evidence process again rather than assuming the earlier workflow remains identical. Review the final bank-facing bundle yourself. A provider-generated document supports the relevant receipt facts but should not be described as confirmation that your separate EDF preparation or submission has been accepted.
A fictional example
A user sees a partner bank on a transfer document and a different bank on their account statement. Their evidence index labels each bank’s role and links the same transfer reference instead of treating the two records as separate payments.
Preparation checklist
- Identify the actual Wise product used.
- Save the issued document without changing its title.
- Request missing evidence through official support.
Does an e-FIRC prove that an EDF was accepted?
It is remittance evidence. Keep the declaration acknowledgement and final bank status separately.
An exporter confuses two Wise payment routes
A fictional exporter receives one payment through business account details and another through a different INR-transfer arrangement. They initially expect identical documents, then compare each transfer with the official help and identify that the routes differ. The two references stay separate.
For the route requiring sender-provided evidence, the exporter asks the customer to retrieve the appropriate document through their own account. No credentials are shared. The evidence index labels the processing bank separately from the customer and final beneficiary bank.
The bank enquiry supplies the two documented routes and asks about matching requirements for each. The exporter keeps the response by transfer and does not assume that a certificate issued for the first payment proves the second payment or completes its declaration process.
More questions answered
Does the same bank narration prove the same product was used?
No. Check the actual provider product and transfer records. Narration alone can omit relevant details.
Can Braininnx retrieve the evidence from my Wise account?
No. Use your provider account and official support. Braininnx helps organise the information you already hold.
