Where to download your bank’s EDF form

The practical answer

Use a verified bank page or the RBI-prescribed template. The directory’s verification status distinguishes a published export policy from a confirmed bank-specific EDF form.

What to do

Search your bank in the directory. Review its status, official website and any verified policy link. If there is no confirmed template, ask the trade or forex desk for the current form, accepted channel and signatory requirements. Download only from the verified domain and keep the version date.

A worked example

A disposal instruction letter listed on a bank website can support an inward receipt, but it should not be relabelled as that bank’s new EDF.

Avoid this mistake

Do not use a sample worksheet as if it were an official bank-approved form.

Keep a clear record

Retain the underlying invoice or accepted statement, supporting correspondence and any acknowledgement from the designated authority or authorised-dealer bank. The tools here prepare information; only the appropriate authority can confirm acceptance, extension or closure.

Is this an official instruction from my bank?

No. This is independent educational guidance. Use the linked primary sources and ask your bank for its current process and written confirmation.

Can the website file my EDF?

No. Your inputs stay in your browser. Downloads are preparation documents and must be reviewed before use through an official channel.
