ICICI Bank: EDF enquiries and official request letters

The practical answer

ICICI publishes customer request letters for trade workflows. A request letter or disposal instruction is not automatically a confirmed 2026 EDF template.

What to do

Open the verified request-letter library from the bank directory. Check the document’s exact name and intended transaction. Ask ICICI which current EDF template and submission channel it accepts, then attach the invoice and remittance bundle it requests. Keep declaration and disposal documents separately labelled.

A worked example

A disposal instruction may tell a bank how to handle an inward receipt while an EDF declares the related export.

Avoid this mistake

Do not claim a bank-approved EDF merely because a document contains a FEMA declaration.

Keep a clear record

Retain the underlying invoice or accepted statement, supporting correspondence and any acknowledgement from the designated authority or authorised-dealer bank. The tools here prepare information; only the appropriate authority can confirm acceptance, extension or closure.

Is this an official instruction from my bank?

No. This is independent educational guidance. Use the linked primary sources and ask your bank for its current process and written confirmation.

Can the website file my EDF?

No. Your inputs stay in your browser. Downloads are preparation documents and must be reviewed before use through an official channel.
