Fill EDF safely: privacy, drafts and document sharing

The practical answer

Exporter and remittance information can be sensitive. This site processes tool inputs in your browser and only stores drafts locally when you explicitly choose Save.

What to do

Use fictional sample data while exploring. Check a bank’s official domain before submitting documents. Clear saved drafts on shared devices, and do not include account numbers or identity documents in a public correction report. Downloads contain the information you enter and should be handled accordingly.

A worked example

A saved browser draft can remain on that device until deleted; an exported PDF can also remain in your downloads folder.

Avoid this mistake

Do not assume local storage is encrypted or protected from other people using the same browser profile.

Keep a clear record

Retain the underlying invoice or accepted statement, supporting correspondence and any acknowledgement from the designated authority or authorised-dealer bank. The tools here prepare information; only the appropriate authority can confirm acceptance, extension or closure.

Is this an official instruction from my bank?

No. This is independent educational guidance. Use the linked primary sources and ask your bank for its current process and written confirmation.

Can the website file my EDF?

No. Your inputs stay in your browser. Downloads are preparation documents and must be reviewed before use through an official channel.
