What is EDPMS and how is an export closed?

The practical answer

EDPMS is the monitoring system used in the export reporting workflow. A bank receipt is not by itself proof that the matching export record is closed.

What to do

Give the AD the declaration or export reference and each incoming-remittance reference. Request confirmation of matching, outstanding amounts and closure where appropriate. Under the regulation, the AD enters service EDF details in EDPMS within five working days; other matching and review steps depend on the transaction and process.

A worked example

An invoice can be paid while a bank still needs a reference to match the receipt to its export record.

Avoid this mistake

Do not mistake a submitted draft for an EDPMS acknowledgement or closure confirmation.

Keep a clear record

Retain the underlying invoice or accepted statement, supporting correspondence and any acknowledgement from the designated authority or authorised-dealer bank. The tools here prepare information; only the appropriate authority can confirm acceptance, extension or closure.

Is this an official instruction from my bank?

Can the website file my EDF?

No. Your inputs stay in your browser. Downloads are preparation documents and must be reviewed before use through an official channel.
